Registering with TBCH will give you access to our private registered participants only Facebook group where details for our registered participant events will be posted. The Facebook group can also be used for registered participants to connect with each other and plan their own additional events and activities, with the option of support from the volunteer leadership team. Registering will also get you on our email list as an additional way to find out about TBCH activities.
There will be 6 large group events planned by the volunteer leadership team this upcoming year which will include a fall kickoff at Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park (open to non-members to check out the group), Christmas party, winter skating party, spring field trip, geography fair and end of year party at Chippewa park with amusement rides. These events are made possible by your registration fees which cover things such as facility rental fees, activity supplies, prizes, refreshments, basic supplies (such as plates, napkins, cups), and in the case of the Chippewa event ONLY an event insurance fee, plus more. Events where participant fees are utilized to cover any part of the activity will be for registered participants only with the exception of the fall kickoff which will be an open event for potential new participants to check out the group.
Registration fees also cover our library management system for the TBCH homeschool library that all registered participants will have access to. The library currently has over 1700 resources logged into the system with more being processed each week. Checkout our library page for more details. This space is also open for registered participants to book for their own small group activities.
To register as a member:
- Complete both the registration and new waiver forms and send to tbchomeschoolers@gmail.com. This must be completed for each school year. Registration opens June 15th. Deadline is September 30th. We will accept late registrations with an increased fee of $35 starting October 1st.
